The DOEN Foundation and Connecting the Dots join forces in making a newspaper covering all socially sound and ecologically sustainable presentations during the DDW. Besides the guide the newspaper publishes interviews and articles.

The newspaper will be freely distributed during the DDW at key locations and will be digitally available on our website.

Exhibition in Westerkerk Amsterdam during ELLE Festival 
The exhibition Enlightened Design is part of the ELLE Festival in the ’9 Streets’ and is being organized in collaboration with the DOEN Foundation, ELLE Decoration/Food/Fashion, and Friends of the Westerkerk. The exhibition is open every day from 10.00 to 18.00.

Milan Design Week 2014

Connecting the Dots – Milan 2014 covers all 228 Dutch designers and brands that presents themselves during the Milan Design Week together with various articles. The magazine is printed in a reverse-cover issue together with ELLE Decoration (NL) in a print run of 63.000. Magazines will be distributed freely at all Dutch presentations in Milan, or can be bought in any kiosk or supermarket in the Netherlands.

The Art of Commissioning Design
Together, ZETEL Foundation the Dutch Embassy and Consulate General Connecting the Dots will host a debate on the art of commissioning design during the Milan Design Week in Zona Tortona. 

Guests: Matylda Krzykowski (Depot Basel, MATANDME), Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin (Formafantasma), Sarah van Gameren (Glithero) and Kris Callens (head of exhibitions Zuiderzeemuseum).

Further the magazine includes interviews with 10 designers and architects with experience in doing business in China, a column by Richard Hutten, an article about the Dutch ambitions to promote the creative industry, an interview with Mark Hemel (designer of a 600m high building in Guangzhou) and much more!

Connecting the Dots was present during the London Design Festival 2012 with an edition of the magazine and a presentation of 12 Dutch design studios. The magazine covered all 25 Dutch presentations throughout London + many articles, interviews + more. The presentation, as part of Tent London attracted more than 10.000 visitors.

Graphic designers Sonja Haller and Pascal Brun, from studio Haller Brun, are the new designers for the magazine, starting with issue #5. They also designed the new identity for Connecting the Dots, including logo, website and all printed stationary

Magazine printed together with ELLE decoration (NL)
Connecting the Dots printed its fourth edition during the Milan Design Week. The magazine was puplished together with ELLE decoration wich increased the amount of copies to 75.000.
